P. Family

This is a family that is near and dear to my heart. They have been my neighbors and my friends for nearly a decade. My second mother, a father who knows all about cars, one of my best friends in the world, and the little siblings I never had. I was so pleased to be able to do their family pictures and have my work officially become a part of their family, and their living room. :)

I love you guys!

The Best of Friends

Such cute girls! This was a great shoot. These three have been friends for years. What an awesome idea to do a friend photoshoot. Thanks guys!

The Little Ones

These photos are a couple of years old, but I still love them. Photographing children is altogether the most exciting, dramatic, and adorable thing you can do with a camera. You never know what to expect, and often times that once-in-a-lifetime shot comes from a kid just being a kid.

(Sorry if these are all repeats for someone who's seen my FB page ;) ...)

Sister

This shoot is one of my very favorites so far. BY far. My youngest sister, Rachel, has never engaged herself in the "glamorous" lifestyle. She's only 14 years old. But in this shoot, we completely took her out of her comfort zone, and she went along perfectly! She was so excited to do fun hair and makeup (although we always struggle with curling irons or straighteners, though I don't blame her. They're scary!) and she was so willing to follow my lead on her poses and facial expressions. She was so much fun!

Girlfriends :)

This shoot was with a couple of my best friends. Friends are either the easiest to shoot, or the very hardest. I found that these two were very open to some very fun and quirky things. I'm hoping to do another session with them soon!

Welcome!

Well hello there! My name is Shannon. I am a typical starving college student with all the ropes still left to learn, and hoops still left to jump through to one day make it in life. As you may or may not know, photography is one of my passions. And lucky for me, I now have the equipment of my own to make that dream a reality.

Another dream of mine that coincides perfectly, is the dream to be able to show people their true beauty. This is one of the struggles that every human being deals with at least once in their life-- believing that they are beautiful. And I believe that everyone has this beauty not only on the inside, but on the outside. Sometimes you just have to bring it out of them first, and help them see it. This is my goal.

I hope to be able to take everyone that comes to me and be able to capture their full beauty in a way that they can absorb. Whether that means a full-blown dressup model-like photoshoot, or a simple one trying to get that perfect smile, I want each person to be able to go home with perspective of themselves that perhaps they hadn't seen before.

I'll just post a few pictures from some prior shoots, and hopefully I'll be getting some more soon.
Enjoy :)
